“Around-the-World” Fiddle Jam!!
WORLD FIDDLE DAY TORONTO 2017 promises to be another spectacular event taking place on Saturday, May 20th at the prestigious Aga Khan Museum. There will be 100 fiddlers playing a multitude of tunes from all over the world, accompanied by a stellar back-up band consisting of world percussion, clarinet, and keys, all celebrating world music.
Special guest artists DnA (Diana and Andrew Dawydchak – Ontario Fiddle/stepdance), Kousha Nakhaei (Persian fiddle), Pascal Gemme/Yann Falquet (Quebec fiddle/guitar), Amely Zhou (Chinese erhu), Anne Lindsay (jazz, original music) will lead the morning workshops, then perform at an evening concert in the acoustically superb Aga Khan Auditorium.
