With each passing year, there are more and more festivals that feature or are predominantly comprised of francophone music. Although there are French-language resources that provide you with that information, our hope is to provide English-language communities access to a summary of the festivals available to you this summer. Danse Neige : no Toronto Session

Session: Sunday, January 19, 2020

Happy new year to you all. We are delighted to welcome you all to the regular session this Sunday, but we would like to inform you of some changes for this weekend only. This weekend, the new, non-profit Speak Music Be Kind Canadian music festival is taking over the Tranzac. They have kindly agreed to let us hold the session anyway, but have asked us to stop by when we arrive and tell them we are playing in the session. July session and other events

There is indeed a session this coming Sunday, as usual from noon to 2:45 pm at the Tranzac Club. See you all there! That said, this is a busy time for lovers of Quebecois music! Hope some of you made it to the Pierre Schryer concert on July 9th. We certainly enjoyed De temps antan at the Mariposa Folk Festival in Orillia that same weekend! Yes, there is a session tomorrow. See you all between noon and 3 pm. If you have ever been lucky enough to attend an AlgomaTrad event (family camp, dance, travelling concert, music or dance workshop, or concert by the O’Shraves  or the Brian Pickell Band), please take a moment to answer a very short, multiple choice online survey.
