We’ll be hosting another online session this coming Sunday for the first of 2021.

Date: Sunday, January 17, 2021
Time: Noon – 3PM Eastern
Where: Online via Zoom. Send email request for link.

As always, all are welcome to join us to play your favourite Quebecois tunes.

This month, we’d like to highlight a recent request by the fantastic AlgomaTrad organization on the glorious St. Joseph’s Island in Northern Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron. They have been doing some amazing arts advocacy and education, and have built an incredible dance floor on their property. Now they have the opportunity to convert the summer buildings to an all-season traditional dance and music destination.

AlgomaTrad is in the middle of a fund-raising campaign where they are asking the community to help them raise $350,000. If they meet that goal, they expect to get government funding of $9000 for each $1000 raised. Go to the website and watch a short video where they explain what they hope to do. This is an exceptionally wonderful organization led by some amazing folks that provide a venue for some incredible music, dance and arts.
