A rare chance to see the young trad group, Les poules à Colin!
Rob and Donna will be calling some simple French-Canadian dances in French during the two sets of BoucharDanse, who will do two performances of a piece entitled “La gigue en souvenir”. La gigue en souvenir makes the past come alive through a journey inspired by the energy, the complexity and the vigour of the traditional Québec gigue. Six dancers perform on the music of Les Charbonniers de l’enfer, reinventing the folk tradition of the “gigue” in a contemporary fashion.”
The two performances will happen in the Family Area at 12:45 and 2:15 on Saturday, June 24.
